Oftentimes legal fees are not an expense people plan for and adding another bill to the budget can create a strain, both emotionally and financially. We at Gibbs & Mabe understand this and therefore we offer several different payment methods to our clients. We offer both flat fee billing and the traditional hourly rate billing depending on the individual case. There are advantages to clients in both types of billing.
The flat fee structure offers you legal fees that are predictable, which is beneficial for budgeting purposes. Flat fee billing can be implemented by breaking a case down into phases, so that a flat fee is charged for each phase of your case, or by a specific event, such as mediation, discovery, or trial. The flat fee structure offered by Gibbs & Mabe results in a case-specific, client-friendly fee arrangement for legal services. The fees for each phase are discussed in full prior to the execution of a fee agreement. This customized pricing for specific legal services tends to eliminate the extra stress that can result from not knowing how much the case will cost, and allows our clients the ability to budget for their legal work.
Some clients find that a traditional hourly rate billing structure is more advantageous. An hourly fee structure only charges you for what legal services you use and you will receive a detailed description of all completed work. Gibbs & Mabe will work with you to create a fee structure that is right for you and your case.
